Before you begin mixing the ingredients, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that the oven is ready when you're done preparing the batter.
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water with half of the portion of the Artisanal Dromedary Gingerbread Mix. Stir the mixture thoroughly until all the ingredients are well incorporated and you have a smooth batter. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
Place the cake pans in the preheated oven and bake according to the instructions on the Dromedary Gingerbread Mix package or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for a few minutes.
Carefully remove the gingerbread layers from the cake pans and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
Once the gingerbread layers are completely cooled, you can start assembling the layer cake. Place one layer on a serving plate.
Optionally, add sliced bananas on top of the first layer for added flavor and texture.
Spread a layer of fresh whipped cream over the first layer of gingerbread. Place the second layer on top.
Continue layering the gingerbread and whipped cream until you've used all the cake layers.
Top the Gingerbread Layer Cake with additional whipped cream and garnish with sliced bananas if desired.
